He co-founded one of the world's largest alcohol-free challenge platforms, and the initiatives he has created over the last decade, from books to apps to challenges, have inspired over a million people to transform their relationship with alcohol. He is considered one of the world's leading alcohol-free performance coaches and coined the term middle-lane drinker.

A former professional footballer, he went on to co-found two commodities brokerage franchises before walking away to devote his life to inspiring others to transform their life and career performance by taking a break from alcohol. He holds an MSc with distinction in coaching psychology and positive psychology, lectures at the PFA Business School, and is the author of Let's Do This and The 28 Day Alcohol-Free Challenge, with a third book following in 2027.

He is also co-founder of Authentic Brew, a health drink built for people taking a break from alcohol, and the founder of the Coach Business School, where he trains the next generation of coaches.

His TEDx talk, The Limitless Pill, was given at TEDx Chelmsford. He has appeared twice on The Rich Roll Podcast and twice with Dr Rangan Chatterjee. His own podcast, The Alcohol-Free Advantage with Andy Ramage, has featured in the top ten self-development podcasts.

Selected appearances

Invited back twice by Rich Roll, and twice by Dr Rangan Chatterjee.

His own show: The Alcohol-Free Advantage with Andy Ramage. Featured in the top ten self-development podcasts.

The documentary

This is a world first. Nobody has ever made a documentary about what happens when people in the middle lane take a break from alcohol.

Going Dry follows six middle-lane drinkers through a sixty to ninety day break, tracking their stats to see what it does to a body, a mind and a life. Some of what happens is staggering. One participant's cholesterol went from 303 to 220. One is uninvited from a big rugby game because he is not drinking. And all of them go on an adventure of transformation. Alongside them, Andy travels the globe to meet the world's leading scientists, and finds the whistleblowers who broke ranks to tell us what really goes on.

This is a film about the alcohol-free advantage.

Rich Roll, Dr Rangan Chatterjee, Professor David Nutt and Dr Nzinga Harrison all appear. Ben Branson, the founder of Seedlip, appears in the film. Made by Infinite Focus Films, written and directed by Jon Hyatt, and produced by Karina Rotenstein, Elizabeth Radshaw, Eric Paquette and Andy.
